Fantasy Fest Info -
Fantasy Fest® Safety - it's 24/7!
- Event organizers interface
with local police, fire and sheriffs' departments on a variety of common sense safety measures. The top priority,
with each year's festival, is the safety and well-being
of partygoers and each year the law enforcement presence
is increased.
- Water guns, weapons or replica
weapons will not be allowed in this year's increased safety
environment. No backpacks, coolers, packages, laser pointers
or sparklers permitted.
- In this new age of heightened awareness, partygoers are
asked to forego costume accessories resembling weapons.
Point a smile at each other and you'll have more fun!
- Have fun safely and responsibly. Don't drink and drive.
- Be watchful of emergency vehicles
attempting to access the very crowded downtown side streets.
- Use
caution at all times while traveling in the downtown
area Friday, October 26th and Saturday, October 27th,
even walking. The congestion is extreme but jolly!
- Plastic and paper cups only.
No bottles or cans on public streets. No alcoholic beverages
outside the Fantasy Zone. Trash containers are located along
the boundary for your convenience. Please help us keep our
city clean while you party responsibly.
No Birthday Suits Allowed!
- Nudity is illegal. Key West
city code specifies that body paint does not constitute
clothing. Nudity is not allowed on public property or in
public view. Please wear a cover-up to avoid exposure on
city streets.
Eye It But Don't Try
It!
- Please ask permission before
snapping photos of other partygoers and practice festival
etiquette by treating other people's costumes (no matter
how skimpy!) as works of art - look and admire but don't
touch! Don't be rude, dude - keep your hands to yourself.

Captain Morgan Fantasy Fest® Parade Viewing
- Madness Ambassadors are hardworking
volunteer parade monitors who help get the parade through
the crowd. You'll recognize them wearing their official
shirts and sashes. Smile at them, thank them and do what
they say!
- The Captain Morgan Fantasy
Fest® Parade steps off from the line-up area at
Southard and Whitehead streets at 7:00 pm Saturday,
October 27th. Those viewing the parade at Front and
Duval can expect to see it at about 7:45 pm, and those
in the blocks of upper Duval at around 8:30 pm. Keep
in mind, "parade" time often marches to a different clock!
- Whitehead Street is a quieter
place to watch the parade and gets to see the floats first.
This makes it the ideal location for families or folks who
need to get home early. Make sure you park where you can
get out if you're planning to leave before the end of the
parade has cleared Duval Street.
- Upper Duval beyond Virginia
Street is a good parade viewing area that is less congested
than the downtown area.
- Parade barricades will be in
place along the more congested areas of the parade. Please
respect their intent it's for your safety and to allow parade
entrants room to perform.
- A special area for wheelchair
viewing of the Captain Morgan Fantasy Fest® Parade will
be on Duval at Virginia Street. Handicapped-accessible parking
and port-o-potty will be available at the Gato Building
on Virginia and Simonton Streets.
- Once the Captain Morgan Fantasy Fest® parade has ended,
all City streets must be cleared of pedestrians and opened
for vehicular traffic. Please cooperate with law enforcement
personnel in moving to the sidewalks and allowing vehicles
to operate in the streets. Move the party indoors to bars
and restaurants, please. Or, call it a night and go to your
room!
