Hey there!
My name is Eric Gibbons and I’m the founder of Fantasyfest.net. Above all else, I’m a dad (a fun one, albeit what my children tell me), husband, and sports aficionado. You may have already guessed that I’m a big fan of Daily Fantasy Sports. I played football for many years, and my buddies and I used to spend season after season tracking games and player stats. Some of my favorite college memories are from evenings spent chatting (bantering) about fantasy teams over cheap beer with friends. To be honest, my friends and I haven’t outgrown this pastime, though I can assure you we’ve upgraded on the beer.
Very much like my age, DFS has grown over the years. Fortunately, I have my wit and expertise in Dad Jokes to compensate for my increase in age. This website isn’t about Dad Jokes, though (many thanks to my team), but rather my other aforementioned area of expertise and enjoyment (one which my kids are far less embarrassed by): Daily Fantasy Sports.
Basically, I’m here to have fun and share my experience in and knowledge about fantasy sports betting in the US. In doing so, I hope to help you also have fun while mastering the rules of the industry. This website is a hobby, but one that I’m incredibly passionate about. As I said, DFS is a totally different ball game (no pun intended) from what it was when I started out years ago. The US has a sticky history with online casino gambling and sports betting, but DFS has continued on a more pleasant trajectory as a game of skill. One way to ensure this trajectory isn’t cut short is to stay informed about legality, compliant fantasy sports sites, and general facts about the industry.
